Maltese hospitality giant Corinthia shines at the 2025 Condé Nast Traveller Awards
Malta’s homegrown luxury hotel brand, Corinthia Hotels, is once again stirring attention on the global hospitality stage, this time at the prestigious 2025 Condé Nast Traveller Readers’ Choice Awards, where three of its flagship properties took home top honours.
Now in its 37th year, the Readers’ Choice Awards are among the most respected in the travel industry, with over half a million travellers voting each year for their favourite hotels, destinations, and experiences.

Aside from this honour, Corinthia shone bright all year, with Corinthia London ranked third among all London hotels, earning praise for its refined design, impeccable service, and luxurious ESPA Life spa. Also, Corinthia Brussels – the restored Grand Hotel Astoria, which opened just last year – was named second in Europe and also featured in the Readers’ Choice Hot List 2025. Finally, Corinthia Lisbon continued its tradition of excellence, securing sixth place in Europe, confirming its status as one of Portugal’s most distinguished addresses.
The brand’s success in 2025 didn’t stop there – Corinthia also received major distinctions at several other global awards, including the Michelin Keys Awards (October 2025), for Corinthia London, Bucharest, Brussels, and The Surrey, A Corinthia Hotel in New York, as well as the Travel + Leisure Awards (July 2025), recognising Corinthia London and The Surrey.
Founded in Malta more than six decades ago, Corinthia has grown from a single family-run establishment into an internationally acclaimed brand with properties spanning Europe, the Middle East, and the United States.
Looking ahead, Corinthia continues to expand its global footprint, with a new flagship hotel opening soon in Rome, a 102-storey hotel and residence planned for Dubai, and two boutique properties recently acquired in Beverly Hills, California, through a partnership with Kuwait’s Action Real Estate Company.
Congratulations Corinthia!
