The amount of Maltese residents who visited the Gozo and Comino region accounted for 52.4 per cent of total tourists (domestic and inbound), meaning that the sister isle is becoming an ever more popular getaway spot among locals. They (or should I say we) even spent a whopping €40 million while there, according to the same report. That's 8.9 per cent more than in 2016, and I mean, can you blame us? Whenever we get the chance, we’re heading over for a short break!
