A red heat warning has been issued for the weekend.
Malta is set for another spell of intense summer heat this weekend, with temperatures expected to climb as high as 41°C on Saturday, according to the latest forecast.
The Met Office is forecasting a scorching day tomorrow, with temperatures set to peak at 41°C, UV levels reaching a very high 10 and overnight lows of 28°C.

This hot spell, with daytime highs of 40°C is expected to persist through Sunday and all the way until Tuesday, before gradually dropping to 36°C on Wednesday and 33°C by Thursday.
