Malta sees a wet start to the week, with a sunny weekend ahead – but Palm Sunday could bring desert winds!
This morning brought Monday blues with a side of showers

Woke up to a rainy Monday? You're definitely not the only one! As predicted by local weather services, the Maltese Islands are in for a few days of isolated showers, with this unsettled weather expected to last until Wednesday.

While the rain won't be heavy – 1 to 6mm per day is forecast – it’s still wise to keep your umbrella handy. Nights will feel chilly, with real feel temperatures dropping to around 8°C, so don’t stash those jackets away just yet!

By Thursday, we can look forward to drier skies and a gradual warm up. If you're craving some sunshine, Friday and Saturday are looking ideal, with mainly sunny weather and a daytime real-feel of around 22°C – perfect for a picnic or a beach stroll, or even a dip if you’re feeling brave!

But don’t pack your weekend with too many outdoor plans just yet! Sunday brings a change, with increasing cloud cover and strong winds later in the day. Winds could reach a force 6, and according to Maltese Islands Weather, they might even carry Saharan dust, so keep that in mind if you're sensitive or planning time outdoors.

Which part of this forecast are you looking forward to (or dreading)?

7th April 2025
