Malta’s International Airport meteorological office issues yellow warning as wind force gets stronger
The winds will subside later on in the weekend.

As the winds keep getting stronger, the meteorological office at the Malta International Airport has issued a yellow warning.

“Be aware: The Easterly wind will be strong over the Maltese Islands and locally strong to very strong to very strong”, the warning read.

The warning is valid till 9pm of the 19th May.

The wind is expected to reach Force six today. Strong Force six winds are also predicted for tomorrow 20th May but they will likely subside Force three to four later on in the day before reaching Force five again on Sunday 21st May.
