Malta's had a windy start to summer, but what's in store for the first week of the new season?
It's only the first day of summer, and Malta's already had an unseasonal windy blowout with temperatures recording relatively cooler weather than previous Junes. And the first week of summer 2020 seems to be an extension of this - for the first half at least!
Today's strong winds are expected to die down by Wednesday with a breezy gust averaging around F2-3 here to stay for the remainder of the week.
Although temperatures during the first half of the week will hit highs of 30°C and lows of 20°C the moderate winds will make it feel cooler. However, as the winds stabilise, a much warmer end to the week is expected.
Officially, temperatures are not expected to mark higher than 31°C during the weekend yet it may feel as warm as 34°C on Saturday and Sunday!
Don't let the breeze fool you, the UV is believed to average around 10 next week!
