The Corinthia Palace Hotel & Spa in Attard was the only hotel in Malta to win praise from the recent World Luxury Hotel Awards – an award voted for by guests, travellers and industry players alike.

The hotel, which is located just across the road from the beautiful Presidential Palace and a short drive from historic Mdina and the capital city in Valletta, is regularly recognised as one of the leading hotels on the island, and this new tribute is just the latest in a series of ‘wins’ for the property.

“It is always so nice to receive international praise for the work that we do here,” says general manager Adrian Attard. “And it’s especially nice when that praise comes from guests that have stayed here with us. Our purpose is always to uplift the lives of the people that come into contact with the Corinthia Palace – whether they are joining us for a coffee, a dinner, a weekend getaway, or even a much longer stay. Our entire team is dedicated to ensuring we make this positive impact and, thus, this award is collectively down to them.”

The World Luxury Hotel Awards are voted for by 300,000 international travellers each year, and there is a four-week period in which judges then select the winners. With this award, the Corinthia Palace has joined the ranks of other top properties to secure mentions, including the Mandarin Oriental Bodrum, the Abaton Island Resort & Spa in Greece, the Almar Jesolo Resort & Spa in Italy, and the Villas Do Indico Eco Resort and Spa in Mozambique.

There is no doubt that the Corinthia Palace is deserving of this title, as it regularly ranks among the most poplar choices for travellers to the island and constantly innovates its offering to present exciting new options to guests. Just recently, the hotel launched its quintessential new Afternoon Tea, which is available daily, and hosted two Michelin-star chef Pino Cuttaia for a unique Four Hands dinner alongside its executive chef Stefan Hogan. Extensive works are also underway on the Athenaeum Spa, which is due to be relaunched at the start of 2020 and promises to be one of the most luxurious spas anywhere in the Mediterranean.
