Malta chosen as the filming location for Boston-set feature film titled the ‘The Silent Hour’
‘The Silent Hour’, a Boston-set feature film that has picked Malta as the location for 95% of its production!
The film, that will shoot in Malta for 37 days, stars Hollywood actors, Joel Kinnaman (Suicide Squad), Mark Strong (Kingsman: The Secret Service) and Meki Phifer (8 Mile).

According to the film’s IMDB page the film centres around a “hearing impaired police detective who works as an interpreter for the department and must confront a team of corrupt cops trying to eliminate a deaf murder witness”.
“We are so proud to see new faces joining the film industry following our first intake from the training courses that the Malta Film Commission is currently offering”, Malta’s Film Commissioner, Johann Grech expressed.
“We are determined to continue investing heavily into the growth of our local workforce and attracting more productions towards the Maltese Islands”, he continued.

This production is filming across eight different locations around the Maltese Islands and is employing 117 crew, out of which 90 are locals.
The film’s producer, Eriq Paquette even participated in panel discussions at the University of Malta and MCAST.
