Motorists heading to or passing through St Paul’s Bay should take note: major patching and resurfacing works are set to begin along Dawret San Pawl, also referred to as the St Paul’s Bay Bypass, and nearby areas starting Monday 3rd November (today).

According to the authorities, works will be carried out during evening and night hours to minimise traffic disruption as much as possible. However, several lane and road closures will still be in effect throughout the week, so drivers are advised to plan ahead.

Here’s the full schedule of works and closures:

  • From 9:00pm: Full closure of San Pawl Bypass (Southbound)

Tuesday 4th November

  • From 9:00pm: Northbound direction at the roundabout closed – no access towards Burmarrad
  • Public transport allowed to pass in all directions until 11:00pm

Wednesday 5th November

  • From 8:00pm: Bypass Southbound closed with tidal flow lanes in operation
  • From 9:00pm: Roundabout (Southbound direction) closed – diversion via Triq l-Erba’ Mwiezeb
  • No access to San Pawl from the roundabout
  • Public transport allowed until 11:00pm

Thursday 6th November

  • From 9:00pm: Full closure of Bypass (Northbound)
  • From 10:00pm: Kennedy Drive arm closed
  • From 11:00pm: Full roundabout closure – public transport diverted from Kennedy Drive

Drivers are encouraged to follow on-site signage and plan alternative routes when travelling through St Paul’s Bay during these times.
