Well done! Wied San Anton gets a major clean-up thanks to Żebbuġ Local Council
Wied San Anton can finally breathe again!

The Żebbuġ Local Council has carried out an intensive clean-up of Wied San Anton (San Anton Valley) – a picturesque but often littered spot.

Mayor Steve Zammit Lupi took to social media to share the initiative and call for more responsibility when it comes to waste disposal, urging everyone to help keep Malta’s valleys clean.

He described how, using a crane, they removed the equivalent of three skips’ worth of bulky waste that had been dumped in the San Anton Valley area, known as San Blas. This effort has been unfortunately necessary over the past few years, over which tons of illegally dumped waste have had to been cleared from the valleys and rural surroundings of Ħaż-Żebbuġ.

The Mayor proudly announced that the valleys are now clean, and appealed to every member of the public to keep them that way, while thanking everyone involved in the clean-up operation.

So, if you’re passing through Wied San Anton, take a moment to appreciate its beauty and remember, keeping Malta clean is a shared effort.

Have you ever visited Wied San Anton?
