A greener future! Zibel Malta’s tribe unites to remove over 1.3 tonnes of waste from Xemxija
The amount of waste included 445.34kg plastic waste!

Lyndsey Grima

Yesterday, Zibel Malta’s dedicated Tribe came together in Xemxija for another inspiring clean-up event and the results were nothing short of incredible.

A total of 47 passionate volunteers united with one shared goal: to protect and preserve Malta’s natural beauty. Through teamwork, determination, and community spirit, they managed to remove an impressive 1,392.10 kilograms of land litter and marine debris from the area.

Out of the total land litter, there was 445.34kg plastic waste, 28kg of glass, 138.70kg of metal waste and 780.06kg of mixed waste.

This remarkable effort reflects Zibel’s ongoing mission to keep Malta’s coastlines and environment clean, while raising awareness about the impact of waste on ecosystems and marine life. Each clean-up not only restores local spaces but also strengthens community ties and inspires others to take action.

Zibel Malta extended heartfelt thanks to its supporters and partners whose contributions help make these initiatives possible.

Together, this passionate group continues to prove that small actions, when taken collectively, lead to a cleaner, healthier, and more sustainable Malta.

Well done!
