Pack the sunscreen and prep the beach towels!

Get ready to crank up the AC – the first signs of summer are just around the corner! As Malta slides into June next week, temperatures are set to soar, with a real feel high of 32°C forecast for Tuesday, 3rd June.

While temperatures have remained fairly steady over the past few weeks, aside from some brief rainy spells last weekend that slightly cooled the island, the first noticeable jump will come this Saturday, 31st May. That’s when the maximum real feel is set to hit 31°C, maintaining that peak until it edges up again by Tuesday.

Before we get there, however, some brief respite: northwesterly winds blowing in on Thursday 29th (tomorrow) and Friday 30th May are expected to reach a strong Force 6. These gusts will help cool things down temporarily, keeping highs around 25°C.

While not strong enough to seriously affect sea travel, it’s still wise to double-check ferry schedules and watch out for red flags at the beach, as these winds can stir up rougher sea conditions.

So, whether you’re hitting the beach or just heading to work – sunscreen, hydration, and maybe a working fan will be your best friends over the next week!

Ready for summer heat?
