It all starts with Nadur! Malta International Fireworks Festival marks 25th edition this April
The 25th edition of the Malta International Fireworks Festival will officially kick off in Nadur, Gozo, on Saturday, 18th April.
This special anniversary edition will carry the theme ‘The Luminous Legacy’ and promises a record number of participating teams alongside spectacular displays across the Maltese Islands.
Beyond its visual appeal, the festival plays a key role in strengthening Gozo’s reputation as a cultural and tourism destination, in line with the broader vision for Malta’s future.
The festival will take place on the 18th, 20th, and 25th of April, culminating in a grand finale on the 30th of April in Valletta. Each night will feature breathtaking displays of colour, artistry, and precision, lighting up the skies in a celebration of Maltese heritage and innovation.
A major highlight remains in the Pyro-Musical competition, where fireworks are expertly synchronised to music, rewarding the most creative and technically advanced performances. This year, around 40 fireworks factories and affiliated groups will participate, including eight competitors in this category.
Organised by the Malta Tourism Authority in collaboration with government entities, the festival continues to attract both locals and visitors, offering a unique blend of tradition, art, and entertainment.
