It’s no secret that environmental activists around the country have been campaigning for the forestation of the Maltese islands for quite a while now…

It just so happens that, earlier today, Infrastructure Malta took to Facebook to announce that it planted over 22,000 trees across the islands throughout 2021.

That’s around 60 trees planted per day!

“We are continuing to water and take care of them until they are established in their environment”, Infrastructure Malta wrote.

The agency went on to ask readers to suggest public places which could benefit from some tree-planting.

Do you think more trees need to be planted across the islands?
