Keep an eye out for jellyfish.

After yesterday’s thunderstorm and heavy rainfall, you might be craving summer again and wishing to go for a refreshing afternoon dip.

However, according to ‘Maltese Islands Weather’ almost half of Malta and Gozo’s beaches have been marked as unsafe to swim in.

These include Marfa, Ramla l-Bir, Little Armier, Armier Bay, Imġiebah, St. Paul's Bay, Qawra, Baħar iċ-Ċagħaq, Sliema, Fomm ir-Riħ, Ġnejna Bay, Għajn Tuffieħa, Golden Bay, Anchor Bay, Paradise Bay, Wied il-Għasri, San Blas Bay, Daħlet Qorrot and Dwejra.

Nonetheless, fear not as there are still plenty of beaches you can visit for that relaxing stress-free dip. These are Mellieħa, Mistra Bay, St. George's Bay, Rinella Bay, Marsaskala, St. Thomas Bay, Ħofriet, Marsaxlokk, Pretty Bay, Wied iż-Żurrieq, Għar Lapsi, Xwejni Bay, Qbajjar, Marsalforn, Ramla l-Ħamra, Ħondoq ir-Rummien, Mġarr ix-Xini, Xlendi and Dwejra Inland Sea.

The list is based on what beaches are likely going to be free from jellyfish and rough currents.

It might change throughout the day so make sure to keep an eye out for what beaches are marked as safe or not through here.
