History hits the catwalk! Charles & Ron’s new ‘Sirocco’ collection channels Malta’s cartographic past
History has never looked so good!

Fashion and history collide in the most stylish way as Malta’s iconic landmarks, ancient maps, and legendary knights become the stars of the runway.

Renowned Maltese fashion duo Charles & Ron has just unveiled their latest collection, ‘Sirocco’, and it’s one that beautifully blends high fashion with heritage. Drawing inspiration from MUŻA’s cartographic collection, the line showcases elements from historic maps of the Maltese Islands – think compass roses, trumpeting angels, majestic ships, and references to the island’s famed fortifications.

This unique fusion of fashion and history was made possible thanks to a creative collaboration between photographer Stephen Busuttil, HMML’s Malta Study Centre, and Heritage Malta, who helped bring these intricate historical details to light.

The result was a striking collection where every garment tells a story. From flowing fabrics that echo wind-swept sails to bold prints that mirror the detail of centuries-old nautical charts, ‘Sirocco’ is a tribute to Malta’s maritime past and artistic heritage, all reimagined through Charles & Ron’s unmistakably modern, glamorous lens.

Would you strut your stuff wearing Maltese heritage?
