Good news! MaltaPost resumes letter & document deliveries to the U.S.
All postage to the U.S. was suspended over three weeks ago.
If you’ve been waiting to send an important letter or some personal paperwork across the Atlantic, here’s some news that will make your day: MaltaPost has officially resumed postal services for letters and documents to the United States.
The service had been temporarily paused after U.S. airlines and cargo carriers stopped accepting international mail, following the publication of Presidential Executive Order 14324. Now that restrictions have been clarified, partner airlines have lifted the embargo – which means you can once again post your letters to the U.S. without worry.
Here’s what you can send right now:
- Personal letters
- Business documents
- Official paperwork
Parcels are still on hold though, and are not being accepted yet. MaltaPost has confirmed it’s working to fully restore all U.S. services as soon as possible.
Mail arriving from the U.S. was never affected, so if you’ve been waiting for something to land in your letterbox, it should have been business as usual.
For the latest updates on services to the U.S., keep an eye on MaltaPost’s website.
