Global spotlight! Maltese chef Hiram Cassar dazzles at Michelin-starred ALO in Toronto
Chefs Hiram Cassar and Patrick Kriss put together an unforgettable four-hands dinner for all present.
Fernando Gastrotheque has shared its pride and gratitude after taking part in a four-hands dinner at the Michelin-starred ALO Restaurant in Toronto. Representing Malta, Fernando’s Head Chef Hiram Cassar joined forces with ALO’s acclaimed Head Chef Patrick Kriss to deliver an evening of culinary excellence that delighted every guest present.
Together, the two chefs combined their creativity, passion, and distinct styles to bring to the table plate after plate made with innovation and flavour. Each dish was paired with a carefully selected wine, introduced by Fernando’s owner Nicholai Grech, who shared the story and inspiration behind every bottle, adding a personal touch that made the night all the more memorable.
The evening also welcomed a number of distinguished guests, including Clement Leung and Canadian internet personality and musician Andrew Gunadie, better known as ‘gunnarolla’. With over 10 million views across his YouTube channel and recognition as Online Personality of the Year at the Digi Awards in 2013, his presence added further sparkle to an already special occasion.
For Fernando Gastrotheque, it was a proud moment to showcase Maltese culinary artistry on an international stage, and for those lucky enough to be there, it was a night they won’t forget in a hurry! In fact, as a caption to the video he shared of the night, Andrew Gunadie wrote ‘I’m adding Malta to my travel list’!
