Sunshine, wind, rain and thunder! Malta, get ready for a week of unpredictable weather conditions
After a super-hot weekend, we’re looking at a very unstable last week of August this week!
According to popular weather page, Maltese Islands Weather, we’re starting off today, Monday 28th August, with abundant sunshine, gradually transitioning to a mix of varying cloud cover in the afternoon and evening hours. Temperatures will reach a high of 30°C, providing warmth (and stickiness!) throughout the day, while the night will bring a pleasant low of 22°C.
However, get ready to witness a noticeable change in the weather as the Northwest wind gains strength, gradually escalating to Force 6 to 7 by the late afternoon. This shift in wind patterns could bring about shifts in the overall atmosphere, impacting the outdoor experience as the day progresses.
The wind is expected to keep blowing to its full force until it dies down to Force 4 to 5 on the evening of Tuesday 29th August. The weather is expected to be partly cloudy with temperatures of around 28°C to a minimum of 22°C during the night.
Wednesday 30th August is when the weather is set to start preparing for the first heavy rainfall after summer. While clouds will start to increase, the maximum temperature will still persist a 28°C.
It-Temp Madwarna, also reported that the saying ‘San Bartilmew għandu l-muftieħ tax-xita' is expected to fulfil its potential on Thursday 31st August as the first rain is expected to hit the Maltese Islands. T-storms are expected throughout the whole of the day with the temperature high being 26°C and reaching a minimum of 19°C.
It’s also looking like a cloudy weekend with no sunshine, but we’ll have to wait and see what the weather gods will bring about for the weekend!
Are you excited to see the first rainfall?
