Community spirit and environmental responsibility took centre stage this weekend as Żibel organised a large-scale clean-up effort across Malta following the impact of Storm Harry. United by one mission, 87 volunteers spread out across eight different locations to restore coastal and public spaces affected by debris washed ashore by the storm.

Each volunteer selected their preferred site, forming dedicated teams led by committed location leaders whose patience and organisation proved essential to the success of the initiative.

Thanks to their guidance and the collective hard work of all involved, the teams managed to fill an impressive 13 jumbo bags with waste in just one morning from Pembroke, Bahar ic-Caghaq, St Julians, Sliema and Xemxija.

Thank you to all volunteers who chose to spend their Saturday morning caring for the island they proudly call home.

The next clean-up is scheduled for this Tuesday, with volunteers set to tackle Marsascala, one of the areas most severely affected by the storm.

Well done to all those involved!
