From heritage to digital: A new chapter in storytelling at St John’s Co-Cathedral
It’s all happening on the 6th of May.
Storytelling takes centre stage this May in Valletta as St John’s Co-Cathedral presents the seminar Where Stories Live | Narrative in an Evolving Experience; a dynamic, day-long event exploring how stories shape the way we experience culture, heritage, and the digital world.
Set against the historic backdrop of the King’s Own Band Club, the seminar promises an inspiring exchange of ideas across disciplines.
At the heart of the event is a keynote by internationally acclaimed museologist Caroline Wilson-Barnao, whose pioneering work examines how museums are evolving in the age of digital interaction. Her insights into participatory media, personalisation, and the future of cultural platforms are expected to spark fresh perspectives on how institutions connect with audiences today.
The programme brings together a vibrant mix of voices. Sandro Debono will share his vision for the future of museums through his work with the Network of European Museum Organisations, while Annalisa Banzi offers a fascinating look at how psychology and neuroscience influence visitor experiences.
Adding further depth are contributions from John Mallia, Simone Spiteri, and Alex Zammit, each weaving their own expertise into the broader narrative of communication, creativity, and meaning.
This event is a meeting point for ideas - inviting participants to reflect on how storytelling can inspire more inclusive, engaging, and forward-thinking cultural experiences.
