A few weeks ago, Miss Universe Malta Jade Cini shared a touching plea with the citizens of Malta to pray for her beloved father and former Valletta FC goalkeeper, Reggie, as his health was declining.

Finally, after weeks of prayers, Facebook page ‘Valletta FC Fans shared some very good news!

"After 28 days in the intensive care unit of a hospital in Sicily, the former Maltese international goalkeeper Reginald Cini is finally no longer critical," the page wrote.

Well wishes for Reggie and his family flooded in soon after. Reggie’s illustrious career as a goalkeeper saw him playing for the Maltese national team as well as Valletta FC and Sliema Wanderers.

Get well soon, Reggie!
