MOKSHA, a concept rooted in Indian philosophy and religion, represents freedom and the empowerment of the self - freedom from ignorance, the realization of one's true nature, and liberation from the cycle of death and rebirth. This theme is central to Ranieri's work, where she explores the journey toward self-discovery and freedom. Through her unique technique, Ranieri captures the transformation of her characters, made visible by embedded lighting. When illuminated, her pieces reveal a narrative of personal growth, showcasing the hidden potential and true essence of each character. Her technique involves ''deducting'' material from the paper, where she started with simple scratches and gradually progressed to the removal of entire portions. This process has evolved into a personal expressive language and deep research endeavor.
