Following the mechanical ecologies of Dystopian Garden at Spazju Kreattiv, American artist Justin Amrhein returns with the second chapter of The Maltese Diptych - 3D Blueprint Network: Malta Test Station. Opening on 4 July 2025 at MUŻA, this ambitious, site-specific exhibition activates both the historic interior of the Auberge d'Italie and, for the first time in MUŻA's history, extends into the public square just beyond its walls.3D Blueprint Network - Malta Test Station is a unique art exhibition that blends Malta's old architecture with new, imagined machines designed to help the environment. Set in MUŻA, the show features a large arch sculpture inspired by a baroque arch from the 1700s and the 16th-century building around it. The artist takes everyday objects and transforms them into creative blueprints for environmental machines. These are shown as sculptures that look like parts of a giant system or network with many pieces scattered throughout the museum and outside in Pjazza Jean de Valette. The main sculpture outside acts like a getway connecting the past, present, and future. It invites visitors to explore, interact, and see how history and imagination can come together to create something entirely new.
