Anne Immelé's project, 'Melita, מלט −mlṭ, refuge,' explores the theme of refuge amidst the contemporary migratory crisis, tracing it back to ancient times and anchoring it in the cultural history of Malta. Immelé's journey takes her from the caves of Malta, where she discovers traces of Phoenician civilizations, to Sicily and Tunisia, contemplating contemporary migratory routes across the Mediterranean Sea. Through her installation, Immelé presents a polyphonic narrative that intertwines ancient and modern journeys, offering fresh perspectives on the present. The exhibition runs from March 1st to April 7th, 2024, with free admission. Timings Vary.
