Thanks to the strong winds over the past 24 hours, the Maltese islands have been experiencing a short respite from sweltering heat of the past weeks.

According to Maltese Islands Weather, these slightly cooler temperatures averaging a maximum of 32 degrees should continue till Friday, with moderate winds calming to a gentle breeze over the next few days.

The weekend, however, is forecast to bring with it another rise in temperatures, reaching a peak on Sunday with a real feel temperature of 37°C. Luckily, the gentler winds should mean calmer seas and more bays available for swimming, so you might want to start planning a weekend cool down at the beach!

Are you enjoying the cooler temperatures this week?
