End-of-week swim? Make sure to stay away from these 29 beaches
Friday beach day? Think again...

Kim Vella

After a long work week, all we want to do is grab our swimsuits and umbress and hit the beach - but it seems like Mother Nature’s got other plans for us…

Local weather page Maltese Islands Weather took to social media to warn bathers to stay away from a number of Maltese and Gozitan beaches, with harsh winds expected to hit the islands.

The list of beaches ‘not recommended’ for bathers today amassed a whopping 29 bays, with only nine beaches around the Maltese islands being safe to swim at.

Today, Malta is set to experience Northwest to West Northwest winds at Forces 6 to 7, sure to make for some crazy waves - so stay safe!
