Warm and humid conditions are on the menu!

Maltese Islands Weather has shared a festive forecast indicating that Christmas Eve and Christmas Day are set to bring unseasonably warm and humid conditions, similar to the weather being experienced at present.

According to the update, both days are expected to be generally fine, accompanied by a southerly wind, creating mild conditions across the Maltese Islands.

While the calm and pleasant weather will suit those planning outdoor activities, family gatherings, or Christmas strolls, the south wind and humidity may make it feel warmer than usual for this time of year.

However, the forecast also highlights a change in conditions ahead of the festive period, with rain expected during the upcoming weekend.

Maltese Islands Weather reports that rainfall is most likely during the second half of Friday 19th December, continuing into the first half of Saturday 20th December, and returning late on Sunday 21st December. These spells of rain could be accompanied by cloudier skies and less settled weather, particularly affecting travel plans or outdoor events during the weekend.

Despite the expected rain, the overall outlook remains mild, with no indication of cold snaps or stormy weather.

As the festive season approaches, the forecast offers a mix of winter rain and spring-like warmth, setting the stage for a Christmas that feels more mild than traditional, but still ideal for celebrating with family and friends.

Were you hoping for a colder feel to Christmas?
