Good news for swimmers and beachgoers! The Environmental Health Directorate has confirmed that Wied iż-Żurrieq is once again safe for bathing, following recent water quality tests.
The update comes after repeated sampling of seawater from the popular swimming spot showed results that now comply with EU Bathing Water Directive standards. This means the health warning previously in place has officially been lifted, and the site is once again open for safe enjoyment.
The Directorate reminded the public that updates on bathing water quality can be accessed through multiple channels, including the official website, the Bathing Water Portal, and the EHD Malta Facebook page.
