Disappointed that Mother Nature didn’t make it rain? Experts explain why!
Now this makes sense!

All week, rain and a possible thunderstorm were being forecast but nothing happened. Mother Nature didn’t make it rain and this local weather site explains why.

“For many who were waiting for a thunderstorm, or at least some decent rain, this morning came as a huge disappointment. We're not here to make excuses. We're here to explain,” said Maltese Islands Weather on Facebook.

“All forecasts, from whichever site you get them, are valid for a radius of approximately 75 km. In our case, this covers the whole land area of the Maltese Islands and a large expanse of territorial seas as well.”

“As a result, whenever rain (or even thunderstorms) are forecast, there is always a possibility that these remain out at sea. This is exactly what happened this morning. In fact, an area to the south of us recorded up to 36.5 mm of rain.”

In the comments they shared that there is still a chance that Malta will experience blood rain ‘til Sunday. So I guess we’ll just have to wait and see!
