Malta’s little sister and Natura 2000 site Comino has a surprise in store. By summer, the area known as Tal-Ful will be converted into a fully-fledged campsite, which will be operated by the NGO Ambjent Malta.

The works will include cleaning and floor levelling (no one wants a stone jutting into their back while camping out), installation of containers for the disposal of waste, and indigenous tree planting. The works should be completed as early as May 2019, and also include a regeneration and restoration project near Santa Marija Bay.

Hear that camping enthusiasts? Another great spot with breath-taking views that can now be enjoyed in both the summer and winter months! (Although you might want to bring along that extra jacket if you’re heading over in the colder months of the year. Comino is known to get pretty chilly.)

Are you excited about the new Comino campsite?
