Calling all Gozitans! The Gozo Soup Kitchen charity event is back
Support local producers and NGOs with this great cause!

Kim Vella

On Sunday 13th February, local specialty grocery store Sacred Food will be offering people free food, a community vibe, and the opportunity to donate to three Maltese organizations...

...and it’s all thanks to the store’s wonderful initiative dubbed The Gozo Soup Kitchen!

During the next edition of said initiative, Sacred Food will be gathering funds for The Raah family, Thrive in Malta, and Dreams of Horses Farm in Gozo.

With your help, these organisations can remain up and running.

Unfortunately, this will be the last Soup Kitchen for the season, but we’re sure we’ll be seeing them again soon enough!

So, what is the Gozo Soup Kitchen?

We all know about the traditional idea of a soup kitchen - a place where food is offered to the hungry, homeless or destitute, either for free or for a donation.

The Gozo Soup Kitchen, however, not only offers free food but is on a mission to curate a like-minded community whilst raising awareness and funds for various causes.

Sacred Food is a specialty grocery store, offering same-day delivery when ordering from their online shop. So, if you love supporting local – this is the way to go.

They offer all things artisanal from their network of small producers on Gozo & Malta.
