Breaking national records! Karl Miggiani windsurfs around Malta in 3 hours and 46 minutes
Maltese windsurfer Karl Miggiani has proved just how incredibly skilled and talented he is after breaking a national Maltese record.
He wind surfed around Malta in 3 hours, 46 minutes and 5 seconds!
The previous record was held by Artie who sailed across Malta in 4 hours and 44 minutes back in 2019.
Not only did he break the national record by 58 minutes, Karl did it in very rough and challenging weather.
“Honestly can’t believe it… 3 hours 46 minutes 5 seconds going back over the race it was one of the toughest three hours of my life, the waves like mountains and the wind was like it was punching the sail at points”, expressed on his social media.
“Finally can say I’ve ticked an item off my bucket list”, he continued.
The record was broken during the windsurfing Round Malta Race organised yesterday by the Malta Young Sailors’ Club
The race saw a total of five wind surfers competing against each other including Shaun Miggiani, Sebastian Ripard and Thomas Zammit Tabona. The other two racers consisted of Karl who came in first and Jean Paul Fleri Soler who came in second.
