In an emotional social media post, local Mario Frendo bid farewell to his wife of 27 years, Lorraine. The couple from Birzebbugia celebrated their wedding on 4^th June, the same day that Lorraine passed away at 48 years old.

Messages of condolences poured in from the couple’s friends and neighbours, with several describing Lorraine as a kind woman with a big heart.

In his post, Mario wrote, “Today, 4th June, is the anniversary of the day I married the love of my life and is also the day God decided to call her back to him.”
