Although the weather is somewhat cloudier than Malta’s been experiencing so far, it’s still definitely warm enough for a dip. Need more convincing? Most beaches across Malta and Gozo are marked as safe for swimming today!

Whether you’re planning a quick morning dip, a family beach day, or an after-work unwind, the sea is largely calm and jellyfish-free across the islands.

The daily list of safe beaches is based on current sea conditions, including wave activity and the presence of jellyfish. With no major threats in sight, now’s the perfect time to enjoy Malta’s stunning coastline – with occasional breaks in the sunshine thanks to today’s cloud cover!

Safe swimming zones in Malta today include: Marfa, Ramla l-Bir, Little Armier, Armier Bay, Mellieħa, Imġiebaħ, Mistra Bay, St. Paul's Bay, Qawra, Baħar iċ-Ċagħaq, St. George's Bay, Sliema, Rinella Bay, Marsaxlokk, Pretty Bay, Wied iż-Żurrieq, Għar Lapsi, Fomm ir-Riħ, Ġnejna Bay, Għajn Tuffieħa, Golden Bay, Anchor Bay, Paradise Bay, Marsaskala, St. Thomas Bay, and Ħofriet.

On Gozo? You’re in luck too! Head to Wied il-Għasri, Xwejni Bay, Qbajjar, Marsalforn, Ramla l-Ħamra, Mġarr ix-Xini, Xlendi, Dwejra, Dwejra Inland Sea, San Blas Bay, Daħlet Qorrot, and Ħondoq ir-Rummien are all in the green zone.

Keep in mind though: sea conditions can shift throughout the day, so it’s always a good idea to check beach signage or updates from official sources before diving in, especially if you’re heading out later on in the day.

Grab your towel, sunscreen, and maybe a floatie or two – despite the clouds, it’s still a great day for the beach!

Heading to the beach today?
