Update: Gozo Channel ferry operating once again after halting operations
The long queues have gone!

GuideMeMalta.com

Updated: All three of the Gozo Channel ferries that were meant to operate today spent a significant time moored in Mgarr, Gozo or Cirkewwa, Malta. This was due to a rescue operation happening over the Cirkewwa area where a number of scuba divers found themselves in difficulty.

The ferry is now operating once again.

The Gozo Channel ferry service was originally disrupted and thus delays from both harbours were imminent. In fact longer than usual queues had already formed.

Gozo Channel had stopped operating in order not to interfere with such a delicate manner.

The rescue mission is now complete.
