Possible aftershock? Tremors felt again in some part of the Maltese Islands
The earthquake registered a 3.4 magnitude

Many people across the Maltese Islands are reporting that they have experienced another tremor after yesterday’s 4.4 magnitude earthquake.

This could possibly be an aftershock tremor which is simply described as a series of smaller earthquakes that soon follow around the epicentre after the first original earthquake.

In fact, the large first earthquake is often referred to as the ‘mainshock’ and the smaller ones that occur after are called ‘aftershocks’

Many villages from Gozo including Rabat, Fontana, Gharb, Marsalforn are reporting that they have felt it as well as some villages in Malta including Sliema
