The walk starts in Mellieha and finishes in Floriana!

The 19th edition of the Good Friday Night Walk is around the corner! As in previous years, all proceeds will go to Puttinu Cares and the charitable organisation that supports those suffering from cancer is hoping to break last year's record.

The event will take place during the early hours of Good Friday, 29th March 2024, that is, the night between Maundy Thursday 28th March (Ħamis ix-Xirka) and Good Friday 29th March (il-Ġimgħa l-Kbira).

The walk will start at Mellieħa Parish Square Square (Pjazza tal-Mellieħa) on Thursday at midnight and will end at the Granaries (il-Fosos) in Floriana on Friday morning.

The distance is approximately 17–20km and is set to take around four to five hours.

Transport will be available from the Granaries (il-Fosos) in Floriana straight to Mellieħa before the walk on Thursday at 8.30pm, as well as after the walk.

Transport is free of charge and Puttinu Cares has no connection with other entities organising transport at a fee from other localities.

This year, they are introducing a new online booking and payment system. The online booking system will allow you to pay the donation and book your transport.

Will you be attending?

5th March 2024
