‘Age is a Feeling’: Award-winning one-woman show set to take centre stage at Spazju Kreattiv this February
‘Age is a Feeling’ was recognised with a Fringe First Award, a Lustrum Award, and an Olivier Awards nomination in 2023!
The acclaimed theatrical production "Age is a Feeling," translated into Maltese as "Is-Snin li Tħoss," will be making its debut at the Spazju Kreattiv Theatre from the 16th to the 25th of February.
Originating from successful runs at The Edinburgh Fringe Festival and London's Soho Theatre, this unique play, written by Haley McGee and translated by Clare Azzopardi, chronicles one individual's journey from their 25th birthday to the end of life. Recognised with a Fringe First Award, a Lustrum Award, and an Olivier Award nomination in 2023, the show's success is a testament to its compelling narrative.
Under the seasoned direction of Toni Attard, veteran actress Clare Agius takes the stage to explore pivotal moments that shape our identities. Drawing inspiration from real-life interviews, the play delves into the myriad possibilities of altering our life's course and the poignant experiences of ageing.
The original production garnered widespread acclaim, with the Guardian describing it as 'astonishing and breath-taking' and the Telegraph hailing it as 'a tender, wise, wry, and gut-wrenching monologue.'
What sets "Is-Snin li Tħoss" apart is its interactive format, allowing the audience to randomly select six out of twelve stories, creating 180 potential versions of the play. Some tales will remain untold, underscoring the inevitability of certain unknowns in our lives.
Supported by Arts Council Malta and presented as an original Soho Theatre Production, this theatrical gem promises an engaging exploration of life's complexities.
