The first kiosk designed by Maltese architecture and design practice Mizzi Studio has been unveiled in London’s Green Park, at Ritz Corner, and it’s a beauty! It is the first of nine kiosks, all designed by Mizzi Studio.

The kiosks will adorn prominent locations in the UK’s capital, and were designed on behalf of the artisan brand Colicci. Eight more kiosks will open throughout the winter months, culminating in the opening of a new landmark café on the Serpentine Bridge, in Spring 2019.

Jonathan Mizzi, director of Mizzi Studio, says, “It is an honour to have been entrusted with such a high-profile project of this size and scale.” The kiosks will serve as an essential port of call for the Royal Parks, serving the public refreshments as well as acting as local information spots. Mizzi explains that the challenge was to create a series of functional sculptures that delight and further enhance visitors’ experience. And it’s safe to say that passers-by will be delighted by the new additions!

Locals have expressed their approval of the kiosks' design on social media, and are a little jealous too, taking a jab at the cabins built near the Triton fountain in Valletta (we can never resist, can we?) The nine kiosks in London will mark entrances to Hyde Park, St James’ Park and Green Park, all prominent locations frequently visited by locals and tourists alike.
