A second chance! Tiny Tim the duckling rescued from Zebbug
Tiny Tim spent the night in a safe and cozy environment.

In a heartwarming display of compassion, a lone duckling found in a Żebbuġ valley was rescued late in the evening by dedicated rangers after a concerned member of the public reported its plight.

With no sign of the mother duck for an extended period, and darkness setting in, the caller was unsure how to help the tiny bird.

Responding swiftly, the rangers brought the duckling to safety, ensuring it was kept warm, fed, and hydrated. Despite animal welfare not falling under their official responsibilities, the team didn’t hesitate to step in. The duckling, affectionately named Tiny Tim, spent the night in a safe and cozy environment, thanks to their quick action.

To secure Tiny Tim’s future, the Rangers arranged for a foster home to take over care first thing the following morning. Their thoughtful coordination ensures that this vulnerable duckling will continue to receive the attention and nurturing it needs to thrive.

Though not within their usual duties, the Rangers proved that kindness and quick action can transcend roles, and sometimes, saving a life starts with simply caring.

Have a good life, Tiny Tim!
