Kicking off his visit at Fort St Angelo, Dan Snow highlighted the landmark’s historical significance in an Instagram post, noting that it once served as the headquarters of the Knights of St John and later became the Mediterranean base for the British Royal Navy.

Describing the fort as a ‘military nerve centre’ during wartime, the founder of History Hit reflected on its remarkable resilience throughout history.
