St John’s Co-Cathedral treated its social media followers to a throwback back in time, turning the clock back to 1577. This time was a pivotal moment in the history of St. John’s Co-Cathedral, as Grand Master Jean L’Evesque de la Cassière unveiled a visionary plan.

Recognising the diverse origins of the Knights of the Order of St. John, he sought to foster unity and harmony among them. With this goal in mind, Grand Master de la Cassière devised a groundbreaking scheme: assigning a dedicated Chapel to each Langue, reflecting their seniority within the Order.

This innovative approach allowed every Langue to practice their religious customs freely and commemorate their homeland's unique traditions within the confines of their designated chapel.

This initiative not only honoured the rich diversity among the Knights but also served as a reminder to the inclusive spirit of St. John’s Co-Cathedral.

Today, this remarkable legacy continues to be celebrated, serving as a reminder of the enduring values of unity, respect, and cultural appreciation that have defined the history of this iconic landmark.
