It feels like it’s been ages since Malta last felt a drop of rain – and things don’t seem to be changing anytime soon…

Taking to social media, local weather page It-Temp Madwarna noted how October 2022 is set to go down as the driest October in the past 10 years.

As of yet, this month has only welcomed a meagre 19.3mm of rain, all from the thunderstorm that hit the islands on 10th October.

On average, October usually welcomes 80mm of rain.

The Maltese Islands Weather’s seven-day forecast is also predicting bright and sunny weather for the entirety of this week, bar Friday 28th and Sunday 30th October, both of which are set to bring along ‘partly cloudy skies’.

Temperatures will reach their peak on Wednesday 26th October, with highs of 30°C (Real Feel 31°C) forecast for the day.

Tuesday 25th and Thursday 27th will only be marginally cooler, with highs of 28°C (Real Feel 30°C) predicted for both days.

Luckily, temperatures will seemingly start declining on Friday 28th and continue doing so until the end of the week. Sunday 30th October, the coldest day of this week, is set to register highs of 23°C and lows of 16°C.
