Villa Portelli – Kalkara
Standing on the hillside overlooking the Kalkara Creek and the Grand Harbour, Villa Portelli offers views for days, both inside and out! Dating back to the early 19th century, this grand villa has witnessed the transformation of Kalkara from a sleepy fishing village to a busy maritime hub. Originally owned by businessman and statesman Agostino Portelli, the villa's heritage is being restored as part of a significant Heritage Malta project.
The villa is surrounded by lush gardens and grounds – perfect for a picnic while basking in the sun! It’s open to the public every Sunday from 07:30 till 16:00.
