If you’re planning a little getaway to Malta this March and you’re not quite sure what the weather will be looking like and what you need to pack, here’s everything you need to know.

Spring weather slowly starts making a comeback by March which makes it perfectly feasible (for some) to go visit the beach and maybe even have a quick dip.

The sea temperature averages at around at 16°C so still expect more of refreshingly cold dip rather than a warm one.

The air temperature reaches an average of 18°C high but the temperatures drop quite low in the evening so still make sure to have a jacket or two if you’re planning on going at night.

Malta can also be quite windy even if it’s hot so don’t be surprised if you’ll find yourself fighting the windy air every time you go out.

You might also encounter some light rain during the month of March, with the average rainfall falling at 37mm over the course of nine days.

As for huge storms, none are being predicted for March 2025 as of yet but the first days of March are predicted to bring along some isolated showers - so bring along an umbrella too!

Are you looking forward to the start of spring?

26th February 2025
