Phew! Temperatures set to ease in Malta as August draws to a close
It’s looking like the end is near!

Lyndsey Grima

After a scorching August, temperatures are finally expected to ease as the month comes to an end and September gets underway.

The week will begin with another blast of intense heat, before conditions gradually become more manageable. While partly cloudy skies are forecast towards the end of the week, the heat will still be making its presence felt in the coming days.

Today, Monday 31st August, is expected to be particularly hot, with temperatures reaching 39°C and the feels-like temperature climbing as high as 44°C. Heat warnings remain in place, with health authorities continuing to advise people to take precautions, particularly during the hottest hours of the day.

Thankfully, some relief is on the horizon, with temperatures set to gradually fall as we move into September with a real feel temperature of 33°C by the end of the week.

After weeks of relentless summer heat, are you ready to finally welcome cooler weather?
