Sunny end to Malta's February, but dusty overcast skies loom for early March
This week will be characterised by sunny skies, calm winds and a warm average maximum of 18-19°C.

It’s undeniable that the first couple of months of the year have provided Malta & Gozo with a big slice of winter, with dozens of weather warnings and a Force 10 storm to boot. If you’ve been missing the sun, the end of February has something for you: sun everyday!

As the islands wake up to gorgeous sunshine this morning, you can expect pretty much the same till the end of this week, with calm winds and a warm average maximum of 18-19°C. Winter swimmers: this is your time!

The strongest winds of the week are expected on Tuesday 24th February, and shouldn’t top Force 5, with the rest of the days seeing a calm breeze of Force 2 – a nice break from all the gale-force winds the island has almost gotten used to over the past few weeks.

Looking ahead, Maltese Islands Weather has provided the initial indications for March, which is expected to start with a dominance of southerly wind, dusty air and overcast skies. Clouds are expected to start from the very first day of the month, Sunday 1st March, so enjoy the sun while you can!

Looking forward to enjoying this week’s sunshine?
