What a view! Maltese explorer revels in the natural beauty surrounding Gnejna Bay in Mgarr
Pierre Farrugia is quickly becoming Malta’s go-to hiking enthusiast, with his thousands-strong following on his YouTube channel being treated to weekly videos of Pierre’s adventures while he explores the natural beauty the island has to offer.
This time he’s exploring the green area just by Gnejna Bay, one called ‘Irdum Imdelli’ that roughly translates to ‘shady cliffs’, referencing the cliffy coast that characterises the west of Malta.
Pierre’s trek begins just off the car park beside Gnejna Bay – if you’re facing the sea, just turn left! – where he encounters some muddy areas due to the recent rainy weather. He warns that these areas can get particularly slippery and dangerous, so take care if you decide to follow in his footsteps!
Pierre’s efforts were rewarded, however, as he managed to catch some gorgeous views of the bay with his drone, before the clouds got quite dark, causing Pierre to cut his circular trek short, but he still managed to reach his destination – the sandy bay of Gnejna, which can be pleasantly peaceful during the winter months, before the early summer rush begins.
Have you ever explored the greenery surrounding Gnejna?
