What a shot! Photographer Viktor Vella captures magical May Flower Moon over Malta
The May Flower Moon is the name traditionally given to the full moon in May.

The talented photographer Viktor Vella definitely seems to have been in the right place at the right time, as well as having been blessed with a good deal of patience, as he managed to capture some incredible shots of last night’s (May 12th) May Flower Moon, as it rose over Malta, with what seems to be Lippija Tower in the foreground.

The May Flower Moon is the name traditionally given to the full moon in May. It gets its name from the abundance of blooming flowers that typically appear during this time of year in the Northern Hemisphere – a sign that spring is in full swing. In Malta, it often means balmy nights and crystal-clear moonlit skies, although this week might be offering some not-so-clear skies too.

Hats off to Viktor for the beautiful reminder look up every now and then!
